Getting started with Twinic

Welcome to Twinic brave alpha user! Currently we are in test modus, working hard to get this application on the rails, so forgive us if you discover a loose end or a bug.

You too can help to make things better by sharing all your wishes and concerns with us (regarding Twinic functionality that is of course ;-)). They will be addressed as fast as we possibly can. Follow the progress of all things Twinic in our blog.

We are also in the process of creating killer designs for the site, your profile page, and your channels (with several templates for you to choose from). For the time being, with a little bit of DIY spirit, you can take care of this yourself by tweaking the design settings of your profile page or channels (‘Settings’, and then ‘Design’ in the top right menu).

Twinic offers a personal stream for every user, and allows you to form groups by creating channels based on shared interests. If you want to keep content hidden from unwanted prying eyes, you can make your resources private in the settings menu. You may then give other people access to your resources.

The page you’ll see first when entering Twinic is your home stream. This will in time become your aggregated content stream containing all the stuff that interests you on Twinic. By offering a handy overview of all the content you create yourself, the content that is being created in channels you own or are a member of, and the content created by other people you follow, you will never miss something people want to share with you.

Your personal stream as other people will see it can be found behind the ‘You’-link in the top-right menu. Not only Twinic users will be able to see it, but every internet user, so it can serve as a blog too (or for whatever you may call it, it’s up to you!). Mine is here: admkrm.twinic.com. You can create and access your channels through the channels menu.

So start communicating and sharing! And again, all feedback is very welcome.
